   • Search, replace, and manipulate text with vi/Vim, grep, sed, and regular expressions.
   • Recall and edit command history using Bash and Korn shell features.
   • Manage users, groups, file permissions, and ownership.
   • Configure file attributes and create hard and symbolic links.
   • Apply access control techniques to secure files and directories.

3. Day 3

   Lesson 03

   • Filter, extract, and format text using cut, paste, AWK, and other utilities.
   • Monitor, manage, and control system and background processes.
   • Customise shell environments with profile files and shell configuration.
   • Use advanced file management commands including find, locate, and xargs.
   • Sort, analyse, and organise data using command-line tools.
   • Improve productivity with practical Solaris administration techniques.

4. Day 4

   Lesson 04

   • Review essential UNIX commands and command-line best practices.
   • Create, execute, and organise shell scripts for task automation.
   • Work with environment and local variables in shell scripts.
   • Perform arithmetic operations and calculations within scripts.
   • Accept user input and command-line arguments for interactive scripts.
   • Apply conditional logic and validation using if statements and test expressions.

   Lesson 05

   • Automate repetitive tasks using while, until, and for loops.
   • Build menu-driven scripts with case and select statements.
   • Process and analyse text using AWK within shell scripts.
